Dr. Shaunak Roy
Dr. Shaunak Roy is an Assistant Professor of Management Studies and the Professor-in-Charge of the Management Group at the Department of Management Studies, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata.
He earned his Ph.D. in Commerce from the University of Calcutta in 2021, with a specialization in brand personality research.
His research interests include branding, consumer behaviour, organisational behaviour, and entrepreneurship.
He has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals indexed by Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC.
Dr. Roy is the co-author of three textbooks — Entrepreneurship Development, and its recently launched Bengali version, and Business Ethics — all published by Oxford University Press.
He has also authored books on facilitation techniques in higher education and visual merchandising.
Additionally, he has edited two case books on management and marketing.
Apart from his academic role, he is a Management Expert with BBN Times, a UK-based media tech company, and serves on the editorial boards of various management journals.
He is the Editor of the IUP Journal of Brand Management, the International Journal of Marketing and Business Communication, and YouThink.
He is often invited to deliver talks and presentations on marketing, higher education, and research methodology.
Dr. Roy has also worked on consultancy and corporate training assignments for organizations such as Streebo, NSOU, Commacad, and CEMCA.
His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Guru Vishistha Award 2024 from Dayananda Sagar Business School, Bengaluru, and the Young Scholar Award 2023 from BIMTECH, India.
